About Me

Hi! My name is Cassie Weathers and I can't wait to meet all of you. We are going to have a great year learning together and have tons of fun along the way. Mrs. Avant will be your teacher for Reading and Social Studies, and I will be your teacher for Math and Science. You will have Writing with your homeroom teacher. 

This is my sixth year of teaching fifth grade! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and I have also received by Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. 

My husband and I have a chocolate lab named Maggie and we love to spend time outdoors with her. In my free time I also love to read and bake. 

These are some of my favorite things: Iced Coffee, Diet Coke, Popcorn, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups (really anything with peanut butter and chocolate), Beach Trips, and Football Games (my teams are the Gamecocks and the New York Giants)
