All about Ms. Smith

My name is Delaney Smith. I graduated in 2017 from Erskine College with a degree in Business Administration. I started working at Sue Cleveland in 2018 as a kindergarten aide. I went back to school in 2021 at North Greenville. I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Early Childhood education. I am so excited to be teaching in first grade! 

I am a product of Greenville County Schools and I love that I am teaching in the district that shaped me and helped me become the person I am today. I cannot wait for this year so I can growth with your children and help shape them just like my teachers did for me. 

In my spare time, I like to relax at home with my two cats, Rue and Estelle. (I am also a huge Golden Girls fan and my cats are named after the actresses from the show🤣should I get two more to have all the Girls?).  Outside of relaxing at home, I am involved at my church teaching high school girls (I really do love to teach the next generations😊).  I love adventure! I love travel, rollercoasters, and anything that has me seeking thrill/excitement. 

I am truly honored to be your child's teacher this year and I hope to make an impact in your child's life. Some of my favorite people (that I still talk to, to this day) were the teachers who taught me. Your child may get to meet them this year as a special guest/reader.
