My name is Cynthia Rios.  I have a Masters in Education from  Alliant International University and an Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education  from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  I have been teaching for 24 years.  I have 7 years experience  teaching in kindergarten, and the other 17 years are spaced out from Pre-K to Adult Basic Education. This year will be my third year in 1st grade as well as my third year joining the excellent Leadership Team at Simpsonville Elementary School.  

I have taught in Colorado,  North Carolina and South Carolina.  I have also spent 8 years of my teaching career teaching in American Schools abroad.  This experience has taken me to Spain, Korea, England, Mexico, and Bolivia.  

I LOVE my job!!  I LOVE seeing my students grow!  I LOVE being there by the students as they bloom as learners!

I have one daughter and a dog.  My daughter is in 11th grade at Fountain Inn High School.  She swims for the  Poinsettia Pirates in the summer and is studying Digital Art and Design at the Golden Strip Career Center.  Millie, our dog, is a 7 year old schauzer who weighs 10 lbs.
