Ms. Mackenzie Queen

Hello One and All...and Welcome to 7th Grade Math! 

My name is Mackenize Queen-Taylor.  Funny fact -- my name is LEGALLY spelled wrong.  I am a Taylor by marriage but I go by Ms. Queen - it is just more fun than Ms. Taylor!

This is my fourth year at Ralph Chandler, this will be my 6th year teaching. I began my teaching career in North Carolina.

College Career - I attended Western Carolina University to obtain my two undergraduate degrees, biology and chemistry degree with a concentration in pre-vet then later my teaching degree in Elementary Education. GO CATS!! During this time I learned that I was just meant to be a middle school teacher!! I have been teaching math for 6 years now. I cannot wait to share the love of math with your kiddos.

I am originally from Western North Carolina. I moved the Greenville when I got married to my husband. I have been married to my husband for 3 years now. We live in a house with two wild and crazy dogs. We have Lucy, a 12 year old "mini" lab, and Luna Rae a mini dachshund.   My best friend Daisy Mae, my double merle Australian Shepherd and best friend, passed away not long after I moved to Greenville.

• Movies: Disney ANYTHING - Nightmare Before Christmas & UP

• Candy: Gummy Candy (sour and not) and Reese's...even thou I am allergic to chocolate.

• Drink: Diet Dr. Pepper and Coffee!

• Color: Black, Pink and Glitter

• College: Clemson - GO TIGERS!

• Sports: I have played and coached basketball, softball and volleyball. But I LOVE all sports!!

• Flower(s): Gerbera Daisies, Daisies and Dahlias

• Animal: Octopus or Octopi

• I LOVE to shop!!
