About Me

Hi, my name is Natasha Martin, and I'm so happy to be back for my second year at Lake Forest Elementary as a 3rd grade teacher!

I'm originally from Chicago, IL, and my family and I relocated to Easley, SC last year. Since joining the Lake Forest family, I've really enjoyed getting to know our wonderful students and families, and I'm excited for another great year together!

I bring 25+ years of experience in education, along with a heart full of passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I've taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, taught Technology to Kindergarten through 8th grade, and am certified as a Technology Specialist in Chicago Public Schools. As a Technology Teacher, I had the opportunity to teach technology skills to students and support teachers in integrating digital tools into their classrooms to enrich learning.

I earned my Bachelor's degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, along with two Master's degrees, one in Educational Leadership and Administration from American College of Education, and the other in Technology in Education from National-Louis University.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, RVing, reading, and catching a good movie at the theater.

I can't wait for another wonderful year of learning and growing together!
