Hi, my name is Natasha Martin, and I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Lake Forest Elementary School community as a 3rd grade teacher! I am originally from Chicago, IL and we have recently relocated to Easley, SC. I’m thrilled to be starting this new journey at such a warm and welcoming school. I bring 25 years of experience in education, along with a heart full of passion for helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I’ve taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, taught Technology to Kindergarten - 8th grades, and am certified as a Technology Specialist in Chicago Public Schools. As a Technology Teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach technology skills to students and support teachers in integrating digital tools into their classrooms to enrich learning.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I also have earned two Master’s degrees, one in Educational Leadership and Administration from American College of Education and the other in Technology in Education from National-Louis University.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, bike riding (especially along the lakefront in Chicago!), traveling, reading, and catching a good movie at the theater.
