Hi! I’m Sera Knittel (Kuh-Nittel), and I’m beyond excited to teach you Biology this year!

This is my second year at Greenville High and I LOVE being a Red Raider. I’m originally from Augusta, Georgia, but I came to the Upstate for college and fell in love with it, so I never left! I live right here in Downtown Greenville with my two beautiful cats, Jane and Punkin.

My passion for biology started young—growing up with a veterinarian dad meant I was constantly surrounded by animals, science, and curiosity. After exploring a few different majors, earning a couple of different degrees, and trying out some other careers, I finally realized that teaching is where I’m meant to be. There’s truly nowhere I'd rather be than helping students succeed!

When I’m not in the classroom, you can probably find me running long-distance races (currently training for a 50K), leading worship as a musician across the state, or screaming “GO DAWGS” in Athens on game day!
