A Brief Welcome Note from Me

Hello!! I am Ms. Johns and I am super excited to be your child's teacher this year! My promise to you is that your child is going to have a fun year. We'll make so many memories and learning so many new things!

Please know that I am here to be an ally and support both you and your child in their educational journey.

A Little Bit About Me...

This will be my 3rd year teaching at Brushy Creek Elementary!

I spent my early life in Atlanta, Georgia, then moved to Greenville, South Carolina to be closer to family. I realized teaching was my calling when I was a senior in high school. During this time, I was a Teacher Cadet and taking an additional educational course through Anderson University. This allowed me to spend each day of my entire senior year at Mauldin Elementary School. This was an absolute blessing, and only the beginning.

I continued my journey through Anderson University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Elementary Education with an Add-On Certification in Early Childhood Education. My studies allowed me to do almost all of my student teaching in Greenville County!

More About Me:

My favorite colors are yellow and blue.
I love dark chocolate.
My favorite hobbies are reading, crocheting, and being active (specifically yoga, dance, and Pilates).
I spent my early childhood in swimming and ballet.
I have three cats: Lovey, Tuna, and Minnie. 🐾
