My name is Miss Grose and I am your 7th grade Social Studies teacher! Originally from York, South Carolina, I am a recent graduate from Anderson University where I earned degrees in Education and History. While at AU, I was a member of the South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program, and had research featured in the third volume of our historical journal, Res Historica. This is my second year teaching in Greenville County Schools.
While in high school, I fell in love with history while participating in the volunteer program at Historic Brattonsville, a living history site and major film location for The Patriot. I was able to have a hands on learning experience about colonial and Revolutionary life in the Carolina Backcountry. I also got to share that knowledge with the community through events, leading summer camps, and battle reenactments. This made me realize my love for history and my passion for teaching.
When I'm not teaching, I love to read, play video games, crochet, and travelling. I can't wait to have you in my classroom! If you need anything, feel free to reach out!
