I am originally from New York, but Greenville is home now. This is my 11th year teaching (I also homeschooled my children for almost 20 years). I have taught middle school and high school English in parochial schools, public schools, and charter schools with students of diverse cultures, and I am now in my second year as a multilingual teacher with the Greenville County Schools Multilingual Program. I have my Bachelor of Arts in English and my Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in TESOL. I am highly qualified by the South Carolina Board of Education to teach English and ELA, 5th-12th grades, and English as a Second Language to Kindergarten-12th grade students.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading mysteries and historical fiction, listening to '70s and '80s rock, and spending time with my six adult children, their spouses, and my six beautiful grandbabies.
I am passionate about helping students learn English in order to succeed and for my students to see multilingualism as a gift. I am truly excited about joining the Mitchell Road Elementary School family.
Go Mustangs!
