Hello Families and Friends!

My name is Latrice Darnell and I am originally from Decatur, Georgia although I have lived in Greenville long enough to call it home! I have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Spelman College, as well as a Master's Degree in Urban Education from Union University. I come from a long line of educators, so the desire to teach was no brainer at a very early age. I am now in my 10th professional year of teaching, and have taught K-2nd in Miami, FL, Memphis, TN, and Atlanta, GA, with Greenville, SC being my longest stint of 7 years! 

Jumping rope is my favorite hobby and I love being in nature. I believe that chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is the best flavor ever created! You can find me walking, running, and/or jumping rope in Unity Park frequently and in Ross Dress for Less every Friday...well, almost every Friday! My favorite colors are yellow and purple and my favorite go-to food is seeded fruit of all kinds!

I am super excited for all the learning and growing that will continuously take place this school year and have no doubt that my 1st graders will soar!
