About Me
About Ms. Sawyer:
I am excited to be back with the team at Greenville High School this year! I am originally from Detroit, MI where I graduated from Wayne State with my BA in Secondary Education. I also have a Masters in School Counseling from University of West Alabama. This will be my 16th year in education and I have spent 14 of those years teaching math in South Carolina, primarily in the Midlands. I look forward to working with the students and families in GCSD. Communication is key to any good relationship and I feel that as long as lines of communication are open and honest there is nothing that cannot be solved. I am always available via e-mail or phone if you have any questions or concerns. You can find the link on home page to a Google form you can fill out throughout the semester as any questions arise. I encourage you to look around this website and bookmark it as this will be the first line of communication for the expectations for your classes this year. In these crazy times, just remember to take deep breaths, reach out when you need help, and be patient with yourself as you navigate your coursework.
The three little guys in the pictures are my three "old men" Wrigley, Scamp and Darth. They are all senior dogs who I will always refer to as my puppies.
Besides spending time with the puppies, I enjoy hiking, white water rafting, travel, cooking, and spending time with my family. The picture here is after a 2500 ft. hike up Mt. Cammerer.
