Hello and welcome to pre-school! My name is Janet Allison and I am so excited to be spending this year with you. My mission as your 4K teacher is to help each of my students build the foundation they need in order to succeed in an ever changing world and society.
I have spent my teaching career in early childhood classrooms. I previously taught 3rd grade and 1st grade as well as 4K. I am so excited to be continuing my 4K adventure at Monarch Elementary! With an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of South Carolina Upstate, as well as graduate studies in Educational Leadership, I am very passionate about child development and building strong academic foundations.
Outside of school I enjoy singing and the performing arts. I have been singing, acting, and dancing for nearly two decades! In my spare time I teach piano and flute lessons at Pecknel Music Company. I also enjoy gardening, crochet, hitting the gym, and being active in my spare time.
I have a cute little house downtown with a lovely garden I am quite proud of. I love having my family close by. I have three precious young nephews and a 2-year-old niece to spoil. My favorite place in the world is our family home in Tarpon Springs, Florida. I love to sneak down there on long weekends or any time I can somehow find a few free days.
