Hello! My name is Elizabeth Allen and I am excited to start my sixth year teaching at Cherrydale! I graduated from Furman University in 2020 in Elementary Education and earned my Masters degree in literacy in 2022. I was in the marching band at Furman and love to show off my Paladin Pride! I have lived in Greenville all my life, and I am thrilled to be teaching in the same area where I grew up.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, being outside, sewing, and researching facts about outer space. I love roller coasters, coffee, 80s music, and Harry Potter!
I love animals! I live with three cats and a guinea pig. Milo sometimes visits us at school!
I was honored to be chosen as Cherrydale's Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year. I loved representing this fantastic school!
In 2021 I earned a Guinness World Record for the Longest Candy Wrapper Chain! It is so important to me to teach my students that with time and energy, they can accomplish anything.Â
My first year I was honored to receive the Childers Foundation Teaching Excellence Award from Furman University.
