About Ms. Wong

It is with immense pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as your third-grade teacher for the upcoming academic year at Buena Vista Elementary! As we embark on this new educational journey together, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a bit about myself and my approach to teaching.

Education has always been my passion, and I feel truly honored to have the privilege of guiding and nurturing young minds in their academic and personal growth. I graduated from Furman University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Chinese Studies, and my masters' in Early Childhood Education. This will be my third year here at Buena Vista and I look forward to getting to know each student this year!

I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and anything related to art, whether that be music, visual art, dance, or theatre. I love all of the subjects, and I am so excited to explore your child's interests and help them grow!

In our classroom, my aim is to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected. I believe that fostering a positive classroom culture is essential for promoting academic excellence and overall well-being. I am dedicated to creating an atmosphere where questions are encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth.

Communication is a vital aspect of this partnership, and I am committed to maintaining open lines of communication with both parents and students. I encourage parents to share any concerns or insights they may have regarding their child's learning experience. I will keep you informed about classroom activities, assignments, and upcoming events, so you are always aware of what is happening in the classroom.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Buena Vista community and embark on this journey of knowledge and growth together. If you have any questions or concerns before the school year begins, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
