About Me
About Me
I grew up in a very small town in Southeast Georgia called Hazlehurst (Jeff Davis County). There I attended Pre-K - 12th grade and graduated in May of 2018. Immediately following graduation, I moved out and began college in August of the same year. I have a goldendoodle named Delta, and live in Greenville, SC with my boyfriend. I have not always wanted to be a teacher, but found through volunteer work and babysitting jobs during high school that I have a talent for working with children. Most days you will find me in the gym after school followed by quality time at home with my boyfriend and Delta. On the weekends, you may find me walking in Downtown Greenville at the Saturday Farmers Market or in the M. Judson Bookstore or any other shops. I am also a frequent visitor of Target.
Professional Accomplishments
The 2024–2025 school year will be my third year of post-grad teaching. I graduated from the College of Coastal Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development/Special Education in May 2022, which qualifies me to teach any grade from Pre-K to Fifth and any grade that encompasses Special Education. To complete this degree, I had to attend a series of four, six-week-long placements in various grades and schools, as well as a year-long placement where I became the primary teacher of the classroom with the support of the class's assigned teacher. I also had to undergo extensive testing in both general education and special education before being given my certificate. I passed both of these tests at the professional level (the highest level awarded). I completed my first year of teaching in Camden County, Georgia and taught 4th Grade there.
