Ms. Johnson Classroom Behavior Expectations
My Classroom Management Plan has been designed to create a safe and positive learning environment for your child and all the students. I encourage, reinforce, and reward positive behaviors.
First grade is a year of academic, social, emotional, and physical development. To help each student reach their potential in all development areas, I have set Classroom Expectations that each student is expected to follow. By following the School and Classroom Expectations, each student will be given the opportunity to grow and reach their potential.
Classroom Rules:
1. Follow Directions Quickly
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
4. Make smart choices.
5. Keep your dear teacher happy.
Rewards: Praise/Stickers
Consequences: 1. Verbal Warning
2. Silent Lunch
3. Walk a Lap during recess
If your child struggles to follow the rules, I’ll guide them make better choices through:
*Gentle reminders and redirection
* Reflection time
* Communication with parents, if needed
Working together helps our first graders thrive! Thank you for supporting these expectations at home, too.
