More about your teacher!
My name is Julia Jeffries and I teach Human Geography at Greenville High in the Freshmen Academy! I graduated from Clemson University in May 2023 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies.
I grew up in Greenville and absolutely love it here. Growing up, Social Studies was always my favorite and best subject, but I was never sure what I wanted to do with it. I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to be teaching Social Studies at Greenville High!
A few things that I enjoy are... Running and exercising, being outside, swimming, hanging out at my church, reading a good book, watching a sunset, being at the beach, and going to the movies.
My family is the most important to me and I am sure you will hear me talk about them all of the time, especially my cute nieces and nephew.
My goal as a teacher and for our class is to teach you skills and give you resources that will help you grow, not only in your understanding of Human Geography but also as a student and person.
High school is a perfect opportunity to learn and grow while you have teachers and peers walking along side you. My hope is that you will walk out of my class at the end of the semester with deeper knowledge and appreciation of the world around you.
