Welcome to Statistical Modeling
This is going to be a great year! We are going to learn a lot together; but in order to do that, we all have responsibilities. As the teacher, I will provide you with a productive learning environment and a variety of educational experiences so that learning can occur. As the student you have a responsibility to make the most of these experiences by following classroom rules, doing your work on time, and asking questions.
What will we be learning?
The purpose of this course is to provide intermediate content to students preparing for four-year or technical college experiences. Students should have completed Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra 2 prior to enrolling in this course. The classroom experience will provide opportunities to master concepts including probability, statistical sampling, data descriptions and frequency distributions, correlation and regression, normal distribution, and confidence intervals. It will also direct students to use problem-solving skills, and to apply those skills to real-world situations.
