Ms. Barbee's Resource Class

Ms. Barbee provides special education services to students at Alexander Elementary who have an IEP and require special education. Ms. Barbee and Mrs. Miller work together to help all students SOAR in Resource!

About Ms. Barbee:

Hello families! My name is Carolyn Barbee. This is my third year at Alexander Elementary.

Education

I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I graduated summa cum laude and full university honors.

I have a Masters in Education for students with mild to moderate disabilities from Western Carolina University.

I am currently pursuing a Masters in Education in Literacy from Furman University.

Personal Life

I lived in North Carolina until last year. I taught for six years in Buncombe County, North Carolina before moving to Greenville.

In 2021, I married my husband, Miles.

In my free time, I like to spend time completing puzzles, reading, or hanging out with my pets!
