The 2025-2026 school year will be my  8th year at Greer High School, and my 34th year as a Greenville County Schools teacher. I have enjoyed having all of my teaching experience in the Greenville County School District but high school is by far my favorite!

I spent the majority of my K-12 years of education in Greenville County Schools.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from  Winthrop University, my Master's Degree in Literacy from Clemson University, my  Master's + 30 from College of Charleston. In addition, I have received my following certifications : ESOL - Clemson University, Read to Succeed - Clemson University, Online Teaching - College of Charleston, Literacy Coach - College of Charleston, Literacy Specialist - College of Charleston., and Gifted and Talented certification - College of Charleston  I am considered to be a highly qualified teacher by the State of South Carolina. I have also been a Virtual Educator with the U. S. Department of State.  I completed a project working through our U. S. Embassy in the Philippines. I  co-taught two classes at Notre Dame of Marbel University and provided 4 three-hour Teacher Trainings and 3 three-hour Webinars for primary, secondary, and college level teachers in Koronadal, South Cotabato, Philippines.

I am a single mother of three. Lauren is a 39-year-old graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in English.  Matthew is a 37-year-old graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Media Arts. Bailee is a 34 year-old graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Art History.  In addition, I have a son-in law, Jeff. He is a graduate of Clemson University with Master Degrees from Yale University, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and is currently working on his third Master's Degree from Georgia Tech. 

My family is my focus, my pride, and my joy!  I'm so proud of them and enjoy spending time with them!
