All About Me

I am very excited to be a part of the 3rd grade team!!  This is my 17th year teaching and my 9th year as a Brushy Creek Bulldog.   I've also taught 4K, 5K & 1st grade.   I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Early Childhood Education and earned my master's degree in the Science of Reading from Mt. St. Joseph.  

I was married to my husband Bob for 34 years.  He passed away in March 2024 from a long battle with cancer. We have 2 children.  Austin is 32 and Madison is 30.  We moved, from Cincinnati, Ohio to Greenville to be closer to our kids.  Austin and his wife live in North Carolina.  Madison and her husband are live in Omaha, Nebraska.   I have a Soft Coat Wheaten Terrier named Zuzu.

I wasn’t always a teacher!  I worked for American Airlines as a flight attendant for five years and then stayed at home with Austin and Madison until they were in elementary school when I returned to school to pursue my teaching career.  

I'm excited to be your child's 3rd grade teacher and to watch the tremendous growth that will happen this school year.   ~Pam Swan
