I was born in Belarus (which was still a part of USSR at that time), so my first language is Russian, which I still speak with my parents, who live in Duncan, SC. I moved to USA in 2001 and graduated from James F. Byrnes High School in 2006. Next, I went to USC Upstate for 4 years to get my Bachelors degree in Biology, and then I went to Boston University School of Medicine for 2 years to get my Masters degree in Biomedical Forensic Science. I finally got into teaching through the PACE program in 2014.
In my personal time I enjoy doing all sorts of arts and crafts, going on short hikes, doing a variety of activities like bowling, ax throwing, etc., spending time with my animals, hanging out with family and friends, and spending time with their animals. In case you were wondering what kind of pets I have, here they are: 1 cat (Peaches), 1 dog (Jackson), and 7 snakes (1 King Snake: Oreo, 5 Corn Snakes: Houdini, Coraline, Smoky, Pearl & Bobo, and 1 Reticulated Python: Severus).
My family has recently expanded to include my partner Chris and his 3 amazing daughters (Zoe is 12, Ava is 11, Vanessa is 8). My parents' family has also recently expanded to include their foster child Bogdan (6 yrs old), who is now a permanent member of our family, which means that I'm no longer an only child! I feel blessed in more ways than one!
I look forward to meeting you all this coming school year!

I am available most days for help before or after school. Let me know that you are planning on coming in early or staying after so I can plan as well. For virtual learning, we can set up google meets and I can help you there!
