Hi!

My name is Natalee Starkes, and I am honored to serve as one of the Assistant Principals at Sterling School. In my role, I oversee the Sterling Program and am excited to begin another year partnering with our students, staff, and families. This is my fourth year as an Assistant Principal and my third year at Sterling. Before moving into administration, I taught both 1st and 4th grade, experiences that continue to shape how I lead, support teachers and families, and advocate for students every day.

I believe in maintaining high expectations while providing high levels of support. I am passionate about building strong relationships, partnering with families, and using restorative practices to help students learn from mistakes, develop accountability, and grow into their best selves. My goal is for every student to feel valued, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cortez, our son, Choen ("Co-En"), whom we lovingly call "Cho-Cho-Melon," and our fur baby, Nyla. I also love fashion, crafting with my Cricut, and making memories with my family.
