About me
Hi families! My name is Toni Smith, and I’m thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at Fountain Inn Elementary. I grew up in Simpsonville and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from USC Upstate. Teaching young learners is my passion, and I feel so grateful to be doing what I love right here in the heart of this special town.
I’m a proud mom of four amazing kids: Christian (17), Kennedy (14), Matthew (9), and Mason (8). Two of my children attend Fountain Inn Elementary, so this school truly feels like home to our family. We love being involved in the community and enjoy attending local events like the Fury Parade and the Lighting of the Christmas Tree each year.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking new recipes for my family, cheering on my kids in local sports, and attending Kingdom Life Church. I also love sipping on matcha, watching Gamecocks women’s basketball, and diving into a good science fiction story!
I’m excited for a year full of learning, laughter, and growth. I can’t wait to partner with you in helping your child SHINE in Kindergarten!
More about Mrs. Nelson:
Hello! My name is Rocki Nelson, and I’m thrilled to be serving as a kindergarten aide this year! I’ve been part of the Fountain Inn Elementary family for five years, and I’m so excited to begin this new adventure in kindergarten. I have three daughters who all play volleyball and attend Rudolph Gordon Middle and Fountain Inn High School. As a family, we love spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, going to the lake, or heading to the beach. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, fun, and growth in kindergarten!
