I am super excited to begin the 2021-2022 school year in a new position as a Reading Interventionist at Monarch Elementary. Reading is a passion of mine! I love enabling students with strategies to become a confident reader. Reading empowers our little ones to experience the world around them. My hope is that each student I teach will grow to love reading!

I am a double graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Masters of Literacy. I hold certifications for Literacy Teacher, Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

I have been blessed to teach at some amazing schools throughout my years! This will be my fourth year at Monarch Elementary. I previously taught first grade, here at Monarch. I have twenty-three years of experience in K4, Kindergarten, first and second grades.

My husband and I made Simpsonville our home three years ago. We recently celebrated our 26th year of marriage. We have two children, Grier , a senior at Clemson University, majoring in Packaging Science and Elli, a senior at Clemson University, majoring in PRTM with an emphasis in Event Planning. Grier will graduate this December and Elli will follow in May. We have two Shih Tzu dogs, Wicket (14 years) and Sully (8 years).
