I teach Art 1, 2, 3H, 4H, AP 2D Art & Design, Adaptive Art & Ceramics. I sponsor the National Art Honor Society and Art Club at Berea High School. I have been teaching since 2007 and have spent all those years at Berea High School.
I love working with students in and out of the art room. I love to see their voice come through as they create their works of art. I enjoy watching students grow and mature as they progress through the art program at Berea High School. I hope to instill an appreciation for the arts in my students and hope they find joy in creating.
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and attended Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Art Education. After starting my teaching career, I attended Southern Wesleyan College and earned my Master's of Education.
I am married to my wonderful husband, and we have two amazing boys, ages 7 and 8.
I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, tending to my numerous house plants, creating (baking, cooking, drawing, painting) reading & watching TV (I enjoy make-over shows and comedies.) I typically work with art materials such as graphite pencils, colored pencils, painted paper collages, and acrylic paint.
