About Your Teachers

MEET MRS. PRICE

Hello parents and students! I am so happy to be here at Mountain View Elementary teaching your children! The following is a bit of background information on me that will help you get to know me better.

I grew up in the small town of Chapin, South Carolina where I attended Chapin High School. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1997 where I received my undergraduate degree in Public Relations. After working in sales for a year, I decided to go back to school to receive a degree in education to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I attended Converse College and graduated with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1999.

This is my twenty fifth year teaching school. I taught second grade for two years at Bethel Elementary School in Simpsonville. I taught second grade at Chandler Creek Elementary School for three years and first grade at Chandler Creek for three years also. I taught second grade at Mountain View for ten years and am so excited about my seventh year as a kindergarten teacher!  I absolutely love teaching school and look forward to many successful and rewarding years in the future.

I live in Greer with my wonderful husband of twenty five years, Brandon.  I have a twenty-two year old son, Griffin, who just graduated from The University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!)  and a nineteen year old daughter, Mallory, who is a sophomore at USC also. They are all the greatest joy in my life! I have two cuddly cats, Lola and Max, and one super cute puppy named Ernie.  My parents and my sister live in Simpsonville.

MEET MRS. POLAND

Hey everyone! I am excited to be working with your child this year! 

I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida. I moved to Taylors when I was very young so I call this place my home.  I graduated from Lander with a degree in ECED. I taught kindergarten for a few years and then decided to stay home to raise my own boys. I then returned to the classroom and have been a kindergarten aide for the last 10 years. I have worked in both 4K and 5K. 

I married my high school sweetheart, Jason. and we have two boys. Briggs is 11 years old and Hayes is 11 years old.  I have a beagle named Ralphie and a cat named Benny. 

In my spare time , I enjoy eating out, exercising, and spending time with friends and family!
