Hi! I'm Mrs. Patton, and I'm excited to welcome you to English this year.

I believe strongly that every class is a team. My classroom motto is T.E.A.M. — Together Everyone Accomplishes More. Learning happens best when we encourage one another, work hard, ask questions, and celebrate each other's successes. I want my classroom to be a place where everyone feels respected, challenged, and supported.

This is my ninth year at Mauldin High School, and I still love watching students grow in confidence as readers, writers, and thinkers. I strive to make literature meaningful, writing purposeful, and our classroom a place where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Outside of school, I'm the mom of three children. My youngest is entering the final year of college, so I'm looking forward to a new chapter of life soon!
