I have come full-circle, back to where I started from, back home to Brushy Creek! I graduated from Winthrop in 1993, and I started my teaching career in the fall of 1993 at Brushy Creek Elementary. I taught 5th grade from 1993-2001. During that time, I earned my Masters of Elementary Education from Furman in 1996 and was married in 1997 to Jody Parker. I loved being part of this school and teaching 5th grade until 2001, when my first child was born.
Before returning back to the classroom, I enjoyed being a stay at home mom and volunteering at my children's schools for 15 years. I began subbing 10 years ago, completed four maternity leaves, and the last one led me back to teaching full time at Brushy Creek. Since my return, I have taught 3rd grade for three years and this is my fifth year teaching 4th grade. I have been a part of the Brushy Creek family for many years! I am so excited to start this year with your child!
I love spending time with my family and friends! We are a very active family. We can be found most nights on a soccer field. We also love to travel and spend time at the lake.
I want you to know that I will love your child and my goal is to help your child become the best person that he/she can be! Remember that I am doing the parenthood adventure with you...LET'S ENJOY THE RIDE!!!
