My name is Mr. Soemer. This is my seventh year at Sevier Middle School. It is my sixth year teaching ELA and coaching basketball. I am originally from Raleigh, NC, and I moved to Greenville to attend Bob Jones University where I received my degree in Middle School Education. In May 2024, I graduated with my Masters in Education from Anderson University! I got married in July 2021 to my lovely wife, Sarah, and we live locally in Greenville. In August 2025, our first son, Theo, was born! In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, play and watch basketball/soccer/football, read books, drink coffee, eat fried chicken, go hiking, and travel. I am an avid Baltimore Ravens, Milwaukee Bucks, and NC State Wolfpack fan.
