I started my educational journey at the College of Charleston where I got my BA and Masters in Education. This is my third year at Sterling and I am beyond excited that I get to share it with you and your students. Before joining the Sterling community I taught Kindergarten in Fairfax County, Virginia. I am grateful that I get to call Sterling home for a third year in a row!
I have always had a passion for teaching and creating a positive learning environment for all students. My goal is that your students feel welcomed and loved the moment they walk into the classroom. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your student’s story.
If I am not in the classroom you may find me running, walking my dog, spending time with my family, or at the beach! This year my husband and I welcomed a new member to the family. While I am taking some time at home and recovering with our sweet baby boy, April Ellenburg will be carefully teaching and supporting your children. Her and I will be working side by side to ensure you and your students feel this school year!! I can't wait to learn more about you!
