The 2025-2026 school year will be my 21st year in teaching and my seventh year at Blue Ridge Middle School. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University and completed a M.ED in Middle Level Language Arts at the University of Central Missouri. I am currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Theory through Purdue Global. Our family has moved frequently due to my husband's work, and I have lived and taught in many states as well as in Budapest, Hungary and Clermont-Ferrand, France. I have two children. My son Bayley is a graduate of William and Mary and has a graduate degree in Chinese Diplomacy and International Relations. He is currently teaching 8th grade Social Studies. My daughter, Julia, is a graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Forensic Psychology and she is currently working in her field in California. In my spare time I like to spend time with our family including our two dogs. I also like to read, write, swim, and spend time at the beach. I love being a part of the Blue Ridge Middle School family and I look forward to a wonderful and adventurous year teaching ELA to an amazing group of 7th graders!
