Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello! My name is Janet Moody, and I am thrilled to be joining the second-grade team at Mountain View this year. I’m looking forward to getting to know both you and your child as we begin a wonderful year of learning and growth together!

Last year, I had the joy of teaching fourth grade here at Mountain View and have truly loved being part of this amazing school community.

Although I grew up in Florida, I’ve called the Travelers Rest area home for nearly 20 years. My husband, Jason, and I have four wonderful children and one spoiled dog. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, reading, crafting, and spending quality time with my family.

My mission this year is closely aligned with Mountain View Elementary’s theme: “Each Child, One Day at a Time.” I am committed to serving and supporting every student each day—meeting them where they are, nurturing their unique strengths, and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Through a mix of hard work, play, movement, and creativity, we’ll build on all they’ve learned in first grade to prepare them for success in third grade and beyond.
