Years Teaching 3rd Grade: 10

Married: Since 2012 to Timothy Smith

Children: Cruz Smith (6th Grader at HMS) and identical twin girls- Liliana and Elena (4 years old). 

Hobbies: decorating, reading, organizing, exercising 

Favorite Color: lavender and mint

Favorite Candy: dark chocolate covered almonds; dark chocolate covered strawberries

Favorite Dessert: Cheesecake (New York Style-Plain) OR chocolate chip cookies (straight out of the oven is the BEST!)

Favorite Stores: Amazon, Target, Hobby Lobby 

Coffee Drink: Hazelnut Latte with almond milk

Favorite Scent: Lavender and Vanilla

Favorite Flower: Hydrangeas; but I love any plant that I can put inside or outside. 

Wish List Items for Classroom: Any extras off the supply list, colored copy paper, snack food for students, treasure box trinkets, individually wrapped candy, cleaning supplies 

College:  Southern Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education in 2006

High School: Hillcrest High School (Go RAMS!)

Fun Fact: My dad was the Artist in Residence at Simpsonville Elementary for a few years. He does pencil drawings of famous people, actors, and comic book characters. He goes to many Comic-cons around the south to display and sell his art. I cosplay as Wonder Woman to help him out. It's so much fun when kids think I am really her! 

  I know third grade is going to be the BEST grade EVER! They are fun and so lovable. I truly believe that any child can succeed if they put their mind to it and if they receive the encouragement and support they need from their family and teacher.
