About the teacher

Hi!  My name is Sydney Mitchell.  I am so excited for a great year in first grade! This is my fourth year teaching first grade, but eighth at Ellen Woodside.  This is also my twelfth year with Greenville County Schools.  Previously, I taught K5 and was a K5 and SPED aide.  I attended Clemson University and earned my masters degree from Liberty University. My husband Jiles and I have three children, Jax (9), Savvy (7) and Riggs (3). In my spare time, I love exercising, cheering on my Tigers, and spending time with my family! I am so excited to experience first grade with your child and see them learn and grow! I believe first grade is truly the best!
