🌎 Beyond the Classroom

Learning about people and places is also an important part of my life outside of school.

I love to travel.

Exploring different places and experiencing different cultures allows me to see history from perspectives that cannot always be captured in a textbook.

I also speak four languages, and learning languages has helped me appreciate the many different ways people communicate, experience the world, and understand one another.

I hope to bring some of that curiosity into my classroom and encourage my students to explore beyond what is familiar to them.

The world is a very big classroom.

One of my most important roles is being a mother.

I am the proud mother of two sons, ages 21 and 17.

Being both a mother and a teacher has had a tremendous influence on the educator I have become. It reminds me that every student who enters my classroom is someone's child—with dreams, challenges, strengths, and a future that matters.

I want my classroom to be a place where students know that they are expected to work hard, but also know that their teacher cares about their success.
