Hello! I am Mrs. McCarty and I am thrilled to be your child's teacher this year! I am from Blythewood, SC and graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in Special Education. I also have a Masters in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy from the University of Georgia. This is my 5th year at Pelham Road Elementary. I have taught at both the Emotional Disabilities and Multicategorical level. I am very passionate about meeting students where they are and helping them to succeed!
On a personal note, I am married to my husband, Will and we have a two year old daughter! We also have a dog, named Bonnie. In my free time, I enjoy cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, going to the beach, and spending time with my family! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child better and am excited for the things to come this year!
