Hello! My name is Saskia LoVine, and I am so excited to be teaching First Grade at Reedy Laurel!

I’ve been an educator for 17 wonderful years—12 years in Second Grade, 4 in First Grade, 1 in Kindergarten, and 1 year with the Greenville County School Virtual Program. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Converse College. I’m also proud to have renewed my National Board Certification in 2023.

As an Army brat, I spent much of my childhood moving frequently, with many of those years spent in Europe. My mother is Dutch, and my father is Indonesian, so I have a strong connection to both cultures. My first name, Saskia, is quite popular in the Netherlands—and for any art historians out there, yes, I share my name with Rembrandt’s wife!

My husband and I have lived in Simpsonville for many years and truly love everything about the Greenville area. We are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters—Kelsey, Meghan, and Payton—and grandparents to our sweet grandson, Garrett and have another one on the way. Our family also includes two mischievous pups, Watson and Willow, and three beloved grand-dogs: Tilly, Murray, and Wes.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, painting, drawing, knitting and crocheting, decorating sugar cookies, reading, and all kinds of arts and crafts.
