At Fountain Inn Elementary our mission is “illuminating minds, unlocking potential, orchestrating greatness.” In order to unlock potential and orchestrate greatness Mrs. Kinninger’s class will be following the Firefly Behavior Plan. The goal of this is to create a safe classroom environment where your child will be able to thrive. This plan promotes positive student behavior reinforced with rewards. In the case that a student’s behavior is not reflecting their very best a consequence may be implemented. 

Student behavior will be tracked daily and will include all components of their day. Students will begin each day with 2 golden tickets and can earn up to 5 golden tickets daily. Students will be able to earn golden tickets by going above and beyond in the classroom, being kind to their friends, showing respect to adults, keeping the classroom neat, showing behavior that ‘Shines,’ etc. Students will be able to use their golden tickets at our classroom store to buy a variety of items! I believe in promoting a positive classroom environment, thank you in advance for supporting your child with this!

Students can also have golden tickets taken away from behavior that does not ‘shine.’ At the end of the day students will write how many golden tickets they earned that day on their behavior calendar. Any golden tickets that needed to be taken away will be recorded on their behavior calendar for you to see. If your child reaches 0 golden tickets for the day there will be a ' note’ sent home. This is to ensure that you are aware of their behaviors for the day. Please review this with your child, sign, and return to school the next day.
