About me

My name is Emily Townsend, but not for very long!!! I am getting married to my amazing fiancé on October 18, 2025. In order to avoid any confusion, you can call me Mrs. Howell. This will be my 5th year at Grove Elementary. I am thrilled for this year and the opportunity to get to know your student and their family! My goal this year is to help your student become the best version of themselves and to support their growth and success in life.

Qualifications:

• I graduated in April 2021 with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education 

• Certification in Reading and ESL (English as a Second Language)

• I graduate in December 2025 with my Master of Education in Literacy.

I was born in Georgia, but have spent most of my life living in either New Orleans, Louisiana, or South Africa!

• My favorite color is purple.

• I LOVE an ice-cold Dr. Pepper!

• I LOVE everything about bees!

• In my free time, I enjoy shopping, crafting, and spending time with friends and family. 

¡Hola! Soy Emily Townsend, aunque no por mucho tiempo. Me voy a casar con mi increíble prometido el 18 de octubre de 2025. Para que no haya confusiones, pueden llamarme Sra. Howell. Este será mi quinto año en la Escuela Primaria Grove, y estoy muy emocionada por este año y por la oportunidad de conocer a su estudiante y a su familia. Mi meta este año es ayudar a su estudiante a alcanzar su máximo potencial y apoyar su crecimiento y éxito en la vida. 

Cualificaciones:

• Me gradué en abril de 2021 con mi Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Educación Primaria

• además de tener una Certificación en Lectura y otra en ESL (Inglés como Segundo Idioma). 

• Me gradué en Diciembre de 2025 con mi Maestría en Educación en Alfabetización.

Nací en Georgia, pero he pasado la mayor parte de mi vida en Nueva Orleans, Luisiana, o en Sudáfrica.

• Mi color preferido es el morado.

• ¡Me gusta un Dr Pepper bien frío!

• ¡Me fascina todo lo que tiene que ver con las abejas!

• En mi tiempo libre, me encanta ir de compras, hacer manualidades y pasar tiempo con mis amigos y mi familia.
