A Note from Mrs. Henslee:

I use a variety of teaching forms to assist students in understanding and enjoying English class. Learning to use and read English is arguably one of the most important skills a student can acquire throughout his or her life. It is my goal to ensure that my students leave my classroom with the understanding of different types of literature, an ability to enhance their writing, a thorough comprehension of new vocabulary in preparation for the SAT/ACT, and an understanding of the basic structure of the English language with regards to grammar and punctuation.

In order to achieve these goals, I will work as hard as I can, each day, to deliver lessons that are as creative yet learning center in order for students to discover and utilize new skills they will need for the future.

While I am committed to doing my part, students must also commit to doing their part as well. Such as, completing assignments on time and following my classroom rules and procedures. These commitments allow for the optimal use of time for instruction. If we all work together with mutual respect for one another, I know we will have a great year!
