Hi! My name is Kelly Day, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!
This is my fifteenth year teaching as a highly qualified teacher in South Carolina, and I cannot wait! I graduated from Clemson University with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. Therefore, I am a huge college football fan and absolutely love attending Clemson football games in the fall with family and friends. Then, I decided to go straight to the College of Charleston, where I earned my Master's of Education in Science and Math for Teachers. So, for two years, I lived in Charleston and absolutely loved having so much to do and being so close to the ocean! After graduation, I moved to Easley, where I currently reside. Last year, I completed my Masters plus 30 in literacy and am excited to use what I have learned! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, going to church, running, reading, and relaxing!
I was married in November of 2013 to my best friend. His name is Doug Day and is in the picture above. He grew up in the area and loves to come to spend time with my students, whenever he can! I also have an amazing step-son, Patrick. He is active, very intelligent, and loves to code. I also have an nine-year-old, beautiful daughter, Hannah. She is the sweetest child, who loves to play and read. She is in the fourth grade this year. We also have another daughter, Leah, who is five and starting kindergarten this year. She is growing too quickly and is very curious.
I have a dog named Maggie. The girls love playing with her and chasing each other around the house!
