About Me

Hello!  My name is Lauren Cooper and I am a fifth grade teacher at Summit Drive Elementary.  I am originally from South Dakota but I have been in Greenville for 23 years now.  I graduated Furman University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies.  In 2008 I received my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching here at Summit Drive, and I am going into my nineteenth year of teaching.

My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 10 years.  We have two beautiful girls.  Claire is nine and a fourth grader at Summit, and Annie is five and a kindergartener at Summit.  In my free time I like to spend time with friends and family, even if that means flying to South Dakota!  I also enjoy being at the lake, reading, biking, cooking, and cheering on my Green Bay Packers!
