Hello! I'm Mrs. Coombs, and I am so excited to be a part of your child's fourth-grade year! After spending more than 25 years teaching elementary school in New York, where I taught second and third grade, my family and I made the exciting move to South Carolina, where I am thrilled to begin this new chapter.

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time in my garden, trying new recipes, baking treats, and caring for our growing collection of animals. My daughter, Marcela, is starting her junior year at Clemson University and works at a veterinary clinic. She has a big heart for animals and has a habit of bringing them home! Thanks to her, our family now includes three dogs, a cat, several chickens, and a goat—and you never know what animal might show up next!

I believe the best classrooms are filled with kindness, curiosity, laughter, and a love of learning. I look forward to getting to know each of my students, celebrating their successes, and helping them grow in confidence throughout the year. I can't wait for an amazing school year together!
