Referral
Severe disruption: In the case of a severe disruption, the student will be referred to guidance and the administration of Simpsonville Elementary. If necessary, the student may be given a disciplinary referral.
Procedures:
When students arrive at school in the morning, they will be expected to get their materials ready for class. They will have morning choices to complete while they wait for the morning announcements.
Students are allowed to go to the restroom during independent work time as long as they ask. Students will only be allowed to leave during a lesson to use the restroom if it is an emergency because I do not want them to miss instructional time.
In the lunchroom students need to remain at a low whisper and clean up all of their trash before leaving.
To gain students’ attention I will use a variety of techniques including callbacks, clapping, music, etc. These will be introduced and practiced during the first week of school.
Homework Policy:
The only homework students will have in my class is studying for quizzes and tests, as well as finishing work they did not finish in class.
