Just a Little Bit About Me

Hello and Welcome to Mrs. Twigg's ESOL Space. This is my second year at Hughes Academy, and I am thrilled to be here! Prior to that, I taught ESOL at Northwood Middle for two years, ESOL at Berea Middle for two years, English Language Arts at Berea High School for five years, and at an English camp in China for a summer. I graduated from Bob Jones University in May of 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in English Education, and I finished a MA in TESOL from Murray State University in Kentucky in 2020. I got married in 2015 to my wonderful husband Seth. We have two beautiful children--a two year old son, Jonathan and a 5 month old daughter, Eliana. I enjoy cooking, crocheting, playing in band/orchestra, singing, playing volleyball, watching basketball, and READING anything and everything in my spare time!

I also LOVE Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. If you come to my classroom, you will see many souvenirs from my time at Universal. I also LOVE Disney, and Belle is my favorite princess! I enjoy traveling, and would like to get out of the country more. Currently, I have been able to travel to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic as well as Dongguan, China and all around the United States. I can't decide between the beach and the mountains as they are both too beautiful for words. I look forward to getting to know each of you better throughout the year. My schedule is listed below.
