My name is Amber Risell (rhymes with Whistle!) and I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. I am the proud mommy of a son, A.J. who recently graduated from West Point and married his new bride, Miller. (It was a busy summer!) I also have a daughter, Abby who is 20 and works full time at Chick-Fil A in Simpsonville. I love to bake, be creative, laugh, and smile. I promise to provide your child with a classroom full of learning and love. I know that we are going to have a fabulous year.
I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach Preschool-2nd grade. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and k-4. This is my 7th year at Simpsonville Elementary, but my 18th in the classroom.
Lastly, I never want you to EVER feel I am not available to you. ALWAYS feel free to contact me for any reason. There is no question too silly or worry/concern that I want you to have when it comes to your child at school. Never hesitate to reach out to me for any reason.
Also in our classroom is our Teacher's Assistant, Mrs. Angie Wilkins. Mrs. Wilkins is a Greenville Native, and spent many years in various roles at Simpsonville Elementary before becoming a Kindergarten Aid. Mrs. Wilkins lives with her husband, Guy, and daughter, Emily who is a graduate from The University of South Carolina. Mrs. Wilkins is a PERFECT fit for Mrs. Risell!! Our classroom is SO MUCH BETTER with her in it!
