Students will explore the geography of the world’s continents and examine how geographic factors influence cultures, economic development, and global relationships. Instruction will emphasize inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and the application of geographic concepts and skills outlined in the 2020 South Carolina Social Studies College- and Career-Ready Standards for Grade 7. These geographic thinking skills align with the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate and help students develop the world-class knowledge and skills needed for future success in college, careers, and civic life. Through the study of geographic themes, students will make meaningful connections between content knowledge and real-world applications.
Parents and Students, in the event of a school closing due to weather or other reasons, live instruction will be given via Google Meets. Students will need to access Google there Google Classroom to look in the class stream for the Google Meets link. This link will be active at their regular class time. It is expected for students to attend. If you have a power outage or loss of internet during the inclement weather, please check Google classroom for missed information and assignment/s. Students who are unable to join live meets will be able to make up the work within five days of returning to school.
