About the Teacher Bio

My name is Deana Mullinax. This is my third year at Mauldin and I am so proud to be a MAV! I am a Greenville native and have lived here my whole life. I married my best friend Phil and we are blessed with two daughters.  I earned my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education-Social Studies from USC and my Masters in Education Administration from Clemson. Although I have degrees from rival schools, I am a die-hard Gamecock fan. 

My family is everything to me. I love staying active and will try any activity at least once. I am a huge fan of any and all music (although Prince is life) and cooking or baking with my husband.

This is my, wait for it, 23rd year as an educator and I still love it as much as I did when I first started. Every year is different and I never stop learning from my students. I firmly believe that all of my students hold the key to their success. It is my honor to facilitate that discovery.
