A little about me: I've been lucky to find my happiness in education. I love working with literature and students. I've been in education for 23 years and always look for new ways to present material. I received my B.A. in English from East Tennessee State University and my M.Ed. and MSA degrees from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I'm highly-qualified in secondary English/Language Arts, Gifted and Talented certified, and I've taught grades from 6 to 11.
On a personal level, I've been married to my wonderful husband for 35 years. We have two sons -- one at University of South Carolina and one who is a firefighter. Because THAT isn't enough to keep us busy, we have three dogs who have no sense, but can easily find the exact middle of any room's floor. On my free time, I like to try new recipes while watching documentaries, playing with crafts, reading, hanging out with family and friends, and cheering on the Gamecocks and Panthers (no, I'm not kidding) in the fall.
